Today, at approximately 9:04 AM, our dedicated Rowlett Police officers responded promptly and took action on a Welfare Check call, where multiple callers reported a male on the elevated Dalrock bridge, over I-30, who appeared to be about to jump. They took prompt action to assist the juvenile who was experiencing a mental crisis. With their timely intervention, the officers successfully took the juvenile into protective custody and away from the situation, ensuring his safety. Officers contacted the parents, and necessary steps were taken to support and assist the juvenile.

Mental health is real!! A therapist should be everywhere. This should be a necessity in all schools, jobs, etc..
Life saved. Hopefully, this juvenile will get the needed help and not just a 24 hour inpatient hold.
