Police Attempt to Identify Other Victims
On May 6, 2024, Garland Police arrested 34-year-old Ricardo Reyes Mata, a priest with the Catholic Diocese of Dallas, and a Dallas resident, on two counts of Indecency with a Child, a 2nd degree felony.
The allegations are based on reports of inappropriate contact with two juvenile victims, which occurred during a visit to a residence in Garland. Garland Detectives are currently communicating with the Diocese of Dallas about this case.

Mata is Currently in the Garland Detention Center. His bonds are set at $75,000 and $100,000.
