Body Cam Shows Officers Rescuing a Woman Who Drove Into Creek

401views

In an incident captured on bodycam footage, Denton, Texas Police officers Hupp and Lopez sprang into action to rescue a woman trapped inside her overturned vehicle, submerged in a creek.
The event unfolded when a concerned citizen reported witnessing a vehicle plunge off a bridge along I-35W just south of Vintage Boulevard around 2:30 a.m. on Monday. The tension escalated as the officers shouted, asking if anyone was inside. Miraculously, the trapped woman, aware of their presence, began honking her horn.
Officer Lopez shattered the rear driver’s side window and extracted the sole occupant from the partially submerged vehicle. Both officers assisted her to safety on dry ground. The woman received on-site treatment for non-life-threatening injuries, and a DWI investigation is currently in progress.
