A man was arrested in Georgia for the murder of a family member in Fort Worth.
The shooting occurred on June 28, around 2:25 p.m., on the 4400 block of Chesapeake Bay Drive.
Fort Worth officers responded and found the victim, 54 year old Gene Bass, deceased in the front yard from what appeared to be a gunshot wounds.
According to Fort Worth police the suspect, Xavier Bass, drove to the home and opened fire striking the victim. He then drove off before officers could arrive.
On June 29 Xavier was arrested without incident in Valdosta, Ga and booked into the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office.
