Officer Involved Shooting In Dallas Leaves 1 Dead

On July 4, around 1:00 a.m., Dallas officers responded to a robbery in progress call on the 2900 block of S. Lancaster Road.

Upon arriving covert officers saw three suspects running out the back door of an illegal game room and jumping a fence.

A suspect then pulled out a handgun and pointed it at an officer. There was a small scuffle with the officer and suspect before the officer fired his weapon striking the suspect.

The suspect was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The other two suspects fled the scene but were later arrested and taken into custody.
