A zoom call made to discuss the management for graduation was interrupted when they were hacked and child pornography images were being displayed.
Statements were made that sixty people were on the zoom call, parents, students, teachers and principals had all witnessed this disturbing site. When they were heading towards the end of the meeting, they had asked if there were any questions, and that is when the horror began and images had subtly begun to appear on the screen.
Video conferences are meant to keep people in contact while experiencing difficult times such as now. But many are starting to realize the danger this may have with so many hackers around.
Professor, Dr. Murat Kantarcioglu, of computer science at University of Texas-Dallas, stated that the hacking cases have risen substantially. “My personal thing is that any time I am on camera, I assume it could be hacked.”.
