YouTube Now Displaying At Least 5 Unskippable Ads Before Playing Your Video

The video-streaming platform, YouTube, is said to be planning to put five advertisements on videos that users wouldn’t be able to skip. As of now, the company is testing the feature out in order to implement the idea at some point.

YouTube currently shows two ads that can’t be skipped which is still okay with most free users. However, it’s seems that many people oppose five ads and have stated so on Twitter.

“So, @ YouTube, 2 ads weren’t enough? Now y’all wanna play 5 ads that no one cares for AND I can’t skip?” one person tweeted.

“This may happen with a certain type of ad format called bumper ads since they are only up to six seconds long. If you’d like, you can send feedback directly from YouTube via the send the feedback tool,” YouTube tweeted, as well.

There are two known ways that users can avoid the ads. One way is by using Chrome’s ad blocker extension on your desktop while watching videos. The other way is by purchasing the YouTube Premium subscription.

Almost all songs that are on YouTube can also be found on Spotify or Saavan. There are some that aren’t on there, making YouTube Music the best free option, and videos can be seen on the same app. Users can also download videos, look up lyrics, and more.
