On Friday, July 5, 2024, at about 2:07 a.m., authorities with the Fort Worth Police Department answered to a robbery and abduction in the 6700 block of Golden Grove Road. The first call had seemed to reveal that a young female had been taken at gunpoint by two people.

Officers who arrived at the location discovered that two male suspects had gone into a home, kidnapped the young female, and driven off in two stolen cars.

At about 2:51 a.m., officers discovered one of the stolen cars and tried to stop it. The driver led officers on a short pursuit that resulted in a wreck, close to the intersection of the South Freeway and Sycamore School Road. The suspect ran away from the car, and authorities were able to apprehend him. The victim was found safely inside the car and transported to a medical facility with non life-threatening wounds.

The male suspect was transported to the Scott D. Moore Juvenile Justice Center on four felony charges.

Authorities in Fort Worth are now looking for the second suspect who is said to be either a Black or Hispanic male, about 5’6″ tall.
