On Thursday, close to 2:30 p.m., on Jul 6, 2023, someone contacted authorities about a body possibly floating close to the spillway on the right side of a dam on Fairway Drive, in Grapevine, Texas.
Officers then confirmed that there was a body in the Grapevine Lake.
The Grapevine Fire Department, Flower Mound Fire Department, game warden, Army Corps of Engineers, and the medical examiner’s office responded and assisted at the scene, as well.
When the woman’s body was taken from the water, it revealed signs of trauma not related to a drowning. It isn’t known how long she was in the water, but the medical examiner will determine who the woman is and how she died.
