On Friday morning, a woman was wounded in the face after a man shot a dog in Philadelphia.
Authorities say that around 7:15 a.m., two Rottweilers were running around when one of them mauled a child named Kasion, 5. A man then shot his gun at the dog.
A 22-year-old woman was hit with most likely was shrapnel or some other type of fragment. At first, police thought that the woman had been shot. She was transported to a hospital in a private car and was in stable condition.
The man who shot his weapon will not be charged as he had a permit to carry.
“…I immediately told everybody to move and discharged my firearm…they were doing everything they could to get the dog off the child, but there was nothing no one could do,” stated Dwayne Patrick.
The child experienced bite wounds to his face and legs and was in stable condition, as well.
Police stated that a dog was killed in the occurrence, and another dog was placed in an animal shelter.
The dogs’ owners haven’t been located.
