A woman in Columbia County, Georgia, has been apprehended after being accused of stabbing her brother over lasagna.
Authorities answered to a call in the 400 block of Millwater Court in relation to a domestic disturbance. Before officers had arrived on scene, they had been contacted by the person who had been stabbed, Earnest Hardwick. He had disclosed that his sister, Brilena Hardwick, had stabbed him and that he had closed himself up in a closet.
Documents show that the brother and sister started arguing over dinner. As they were doing so, Brilena Hardwick started screaming at Earnest Hardwick, and instructed him to, “just hit me in the head with the stove door.”
When questioned about why they had a disagreement, she said that he wouldn’t let her get the lasagna out of the refrigerator, records show.
She added that she blacked out for a while, saw herself holding a knife, and saw Earnest Hardwick running to another room with an injury to his back.
He was transported to a medical facility, but his condition was unknown.
Brilena Hardwick was placed in the Columbia County Detention Center and charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a crime.
