On Sunday, a woman in Bishop Arts opened fire on multiple police officers.
A little after 1 a.m., police arrived on the scene of a call for service on the 300 block of Davis Street.
Authorities say two officers, who were not on duty but in uniform, asked for two more officers who were on duty, to help with another occurrence. As the four officers were in the parking lot, they heard gunshots coming from close to a business at the listed area. When officers went to check out what was going on, they saw a woman with a gun next to a gray car.
When they instructed the woman to drop her weapon, she began to fire at them. She then fled the scene.
Authorities didn’t fire their weapons at any point, and no one was wounded.
An investigation into the matter is still continuing.
