A woman was found laying in her own blood in a Dallas motel parking lot early Thursday morning. 
Dallas police responded to a shooting call on the 4100 block of Preferred Place and when they arrived they found a woman laying in the parking lot in a pool of blood.
Authorities spoke with witnesses who say they heard gunshots and saw a man fleeing from the scene. 
The woman was transported to a nearby hospital in unknown condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
