On Thursday August 8th, 2019 at approximately 07:30 AM, Cedar Hill Officers responded a 911 call at a residence in the 1400 blk of Atkins St. The call was transferred as an open line from Ellis County.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with a juvenile who directed them to an upstairs bedroom. The bedroom door was locked and, after several attempts to contact the occupants of the room with no success, officers forced entry and discovered a female and male suffering from obvious trauma. The female was pronounced deceased at the scene and was identified as Yvonne Perkins, 37 years old.
The male was transported to a local hospital for treatment. He was identified as, Curtis Tyrone Bullock m/b 01/10/1975 and is in custody charged with Murder; a first-degree felony.
There is no history of disturbance calls from the location and the investigation into the motive for this offense is ongoing.
