Dallas police are investigating after a woman was gunned down inside a vehicle early Sunday morning.
The incident occurred around 4 a.m. when Dallas police responded to a shooting call on the 1300 block of S. Fitzhugh Avenue.
Upon arriving they located a woman in the driver seat of a Chevy Camaro suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was quickly transported to an area hospital where she later died from her injuries.
According to reports two women were at an apartment complex when a male approached them. One woman was standing outside the vehicle while another was inside. The man began arguing with the woman inside the vehicle before pulling out a gun and firing multiple rounds striking the woman inside.
The suspect fled the scene before officers could arrive and still remains at large.
This investigation is ongoing.
