Woman Dies After Crashing Into Construction Barrier And Getting Struck By Van On LBJ Freeway
At about 1:00 a.m., on April 18, 2024, Dallas Police answered a call regarding a two-vehicle wreck. This was in the 9500 block of LBJ Freeway.
Initial reports indicate that a woman was going eastbound in the far right lane close to the Skillman Road exit. She then traveled between to temporary construction barriers and struck a plastic barrier.
The car then went back on the highway, coming to a halt in the second to right lane. Documents show that the driver exited the vehicle and was stationed at the doorway, when a van traveling eastbound struck her.
The woman was declared deceased at the location.
The person navigating the van did stop and stayed at the scene.
The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office is working to identify the woman.
An investigation is continuing.
