A Zimbabwe man’s wife, daughter, and nephew all died by a single attack from a black mamba snake.
Reports indicate that Tapiwa Musiiwa’s family members were killed as they were gathering firweood in Murimbika Village.
The father stated that his 21-year-old daughter, Nyarai, was first bitten by the snake on her leg. Then, when her mother tried to help her, the snake bit her on the breast. When Tawanda, Musiiwa’s nephew, attempted to flee the location, the snake attacked him on the ankle.
Witnesses attempted to assist the family in getting medicine, but because of the mountainous region, it was difficult to get to a vehicle.
On September 23, the three family members died at medical facilities.
The black mamba snake lives in the sub-saharan Africa area. It has a reputation of being the “deadliest and fastest snake in Africa.” They are said to have very potent neurotoxin venom, which can lead to death within three to 16 hours if no medical attention is provided.
