Authorities say that a 30-year-old woman is facing a murder charge in relation to the death of an 80-year-old. This was early Sunday morning after authorities say that she went to a police station to confess to the shooting.
A little after 5 a.m., Grand Prairie Police called the Dallas Police Department, following Kelsi Miles going to the police station to say that she had just shot a woman in Dallas.
Officers then went to investigate in the 4700 block of Colwick Drive.
Police had to force their way inside of the residence after no one answered the door. They then discovered Betty Hearn on the floor with a gunshot injury.
Hearne was declared deceased at the location.
Miles has now been charged with murder, but no other information has been released as an investigation is ongoing.
