An Alabama woman has gone missing after she called 911 to report seeing a child alone on I-459.

According to Hoover police, 25-year-old Carlethia Nichole “Carlee” Russell called 911 and told operators that there was a toddler walking alone on the side of Interstate 459.

Before officers arrived at the scene, Carlee also called a family member and was on the phone with them while she was reporting the same information to them. The family member says Carlee parked her car and began to walk and find the toddler she’d seen.

Family members reported that that’s when they heard Carlee start screaming and dropped the phone, with the call still connected.

When officers arrived at the scene, they located her car with her phone, Apple Watch, and wig that she was wearing inside of her vehicle. However, the 25-year-old was nowhere to be found.

A toddler was not located at or near the scene as well.

Carlee is now considered missing and officials are asking anyone with information to contact Detective Brad Fountain. She is described as a black female, 5’4” tall, and about 150 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black shirt, black pants, and white Nike shoes.
