Woman Arrested For Murder And Attempted Murder After Social Media Dispute Turned Deadly

A woman is facing murder and attempted murder charges after police say that a social media dispute led to a killing in Semmes, Alabama.

On August 11, authorities arrived to the scene of a shooting on Ponderosa Drive S.

They then found 23-year-old Honesty Wilkerson deceased. Another victim, Germany Wilkerson, was found at a neighbor’s residence down the street, with a gunshot injury to the right thigh.

Curtellius James was named as the suspect, and she was taken into custody.

Two people had stated that they had left with James to go eat. When they returned to Ponderosa Drive S, all of James’s property was on the lawn, her car had been keyed, and all of her tires were flat.

Bystanders say that Honesty and Germany had come to the location and started arguing with James. James fired her shotgun towards Honesty, striking her in the chest. She then chased after Germany while she was running away.

Witnesses have said that they don’t know what the feud had been about.

Germany Wilkerson was taken to a medical facility. Curtellius James was transported to jail and charged for killing Honesty and trying to kill Honesty’s sister, Germany.
