A woman has been taken into custody after she was accused of kicking and spitting on emergency crews after a traffic accident.

On August 4, the Memphis, Tennessee, police department officers responded to a call regarding an assault in the 2200 block of S. Third Street.

They also went to the scene of a crash at S.Third and Mallory, in connection to Kasheena Montgomery, 26.

Montgomery had kept going and was driving uncontrollably when officers attempted to stop her. She is said to have assaulted two officers and a firefighter when they finally tried to give her medical attention.

Montgomery is accused of spitting on the firefighter and kicking an officer. They declined to seek medical attention, but a chemical agent was utilized.

Authorities say that Montgomery’s license was suspended, and she didn’t show proof of insurance. She was transported to a medical facility before being placed in Jail East. Her child was transported to a hospital, as well, with non-life threatening injuries and then released to his aunt.

Montgomery has been charged with assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, reckless driving, and more.
