Wendy Williams is said to have recently been diagnosed with aphasia and dementia. This is the same disorder that Bruce Willis has.
On Wednesday, her care supporters released the news, criticizing a press release with what they have called a very personal update. This was in order to combat rumors and assumptions about her health.
It is already known that Williams suffers from Graves’ Disease and Lymphedema. However, other issues started arising when it was noticed that she would become forgetful or her behavior would be erratic. Now, her team says that it is due to her condition.
“In 2023, after undergoing a battery of medical tests, Wendy was officially diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia(FTD),” her team wrote.
“Wendy is able to do many things herself. Most importantly, she maintains her trademark sense of humor and is receiving the care she requires to make sure she is protected and that her needs are addressed. She is appreciative of the many kind thoughts and good wishes being sent her way,” they added.
It is noticed that Wendy’s team may be having a conflict with some of her relatives. Those relatives have been speaking with the media about what they believe is going on. Her care team had recently discussed concern about individuals in Wendy’s inner circle.
