The vice-president of operations at Wells Fargo in India has been fired after supposedly urinating on a 72-year-old woman. The incident is said to have happened as they both flew business class on an Air India flight.

Shankar Mishra has been named as the executive who was fired. He was said to have been intoxicated while on the Nov. 26 flight from New York to New Delhi.

Reports noted that Mishra urinated on the 72-year-old woman who was sitting next to him in business class on the flight. His attorney stated that the banking executive reached a financial settlement with the unnamed victim for compensation. He also had her bags and clothes cleaned after they had urine stains on them.

However, the woman is said to have given the money back and filed a complaint with the airline. Reports indicated that she requested that flight attendants have Mishra apprehended and kept away from her.

But, “the crew brought the offender before me against my wishes. We were made to sit opposite of each other in the crew seats,” the woman said.

When Mishra sobered up, he showed remorse towards the woman and pleaded that she not report the occurrence. Thus, she didn’t have him apprehended nor charged.

Now, authorities in New Delhi are searching for Mishra as his whereabouts are unknown.

“A police complaint has already been lodged and Air India is committed to assist the law enforcement agencies as well as regulatory authorities,” an airline spokesperson stated.
