On June 14, around 11:28p.m., the Waxahachie Police Department arrived at the 2400 block of N. U.S. Highway 77. A fatal accident had occurred.
Authorities located a deceased male victim lying on the shoulder of the southbound side of the road. It was discovered that the victim was riding a bike south on the same stretch of highway. He was then hit from behind by a vehicle that left the area of the incident.
After a collection of evidence, there is a possibility that the vehicle may be a 2009-2014 model Dodge Ram pickup that could be light-colored. The suspect’s vehicle does not have either two headlight compartments attached. There also may be an uncertain amount of damage done to the front of the vehicle.
Waxahachie Police request that anyone with information in relation to this matter reach out to Detective Austin Starkey at 469-309-4437.
