Walmart announced Tuesday that they will be closing their doors this year at all Walmart and Sams Club locations for Thanksgiving Day.
They also said they will be giving out another round of bonuses for workers on the front lines during the Coronavirus pandemic.
The company said that it will be giving $300 for full time hourly workers and $150 for part time hourly and temporary workers.
Drivers, managers and assistant managers in stores, clubs, distribution centers and fulfillment centers and health and wellness will also receive a bonus.
This is the first time the doors have closed in over 30 years for the company.
CEO of Walmart John Furner said “We know this has been a trying year, and our associates have stepped up. We hope they will enjoy a special Thanksgiving Day at home with their loved ones. We are certainly thankful to our people for all of their efforts.”
