A Richmond Virginia woman/ hairstylist was murdered late Thursday night after an altercation with a woman claiming to be pregnant by her boyfriend.
Karen A. Turner,33, owner of Sew Ins Express was shot and killed Thursday night in a double shooting outside of an apartment complex. 
According to friends and family Turner was a respected stylist who had just received her bachelors and was also thinking about expanding her business by opening up another shop. Apparently Turner had been hearing rumors about her boyfriend impregnating another woman so she went to meet up with the woman to see if the rumors were true. When she arrived to the home her and the unidentified woman exchanged words and shots were fired. 
Officers say when they arrived on the scene they saw an unresponsive woman in a vehicle and a woman with a gun shot wound to the leg. The woman was transported to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries and Turner was pronounced dead on the scene.
It is unclear at this time if the other woman will be facing charges because she is claiming self defense.
