A UPS driver is dead after an 18 wheeler collided through a concrete barrier and landed in a creek.
The crash took place around 9:30 a.m. Thursday on interstate 45, just south of Malloy Bridge Road in Ferris.
According to the Dallas County Sheriff’s office the 18 wheeler was pulling two trailers when it crashed into a guardrail and through a concrete barrier.
The truck and trailers both landed in a creek below where the Dallas Fire-Rescue’s dive team helped recover the driver, who died at the scene.
The two southbound right lanes and ramp were closed until the truck and trailers were removed from the creek.
