Fagbehingbe, of Houston, had to be sent to New Mexico to receive treatment after contracting COVID-19 because there weren’t any hospital beds available in Houston.

In the beginning, she chose not to get the vaccine. When she changed her mind and she was going to go get the vaccine, she was diagnosed with the virus the next day.

After two weeks, on August 21, she sadly passed away.

Up until Thursday, the family had no funds to be able to send her back to Houston for a proper funeral service.

Then, a funeral director stated that an anonymous donor, who had heard the family’s story, had paid for the body to be taken back to Houston.

“This weight is off my shoulders now. We can bury my baby now,” her mother stated as she cried.

Fagbehingbe was a 48 year-old headstart teacher and a mother of two children.
