Ukrainian Guards Who Declared Russian Military To “Go F–K Yourself” May Still Be Alive

On Monday, the Kyiv navy announced that Ukrainian border guards, who instructed Russian warships to “go f–k yourself,” have not been killed. The guards were at Snake Island, defending the Black Sea and are now being held hostage by Russian forces.

Last Thursday, two Russian vessels approached the Romanian border. 13 guards were there and would not give up their post on the mini-island; thus, they were thought to be dead.

On Facebook, the Ukrainian navy stated that the guards had been, “taken captive by Russian occupiers.” “We are very happy that our brothers are alive,” the statement continued.

Last week, Moscow’s forces used barreled gunships and airstrikes to attack Ukraine. This led to all contact coming to a halt with people on the 42-acre island. Therefore, Ukrainians believed that all those men had been killed.

However, on Saturday, State Border Guard Service of Ukraine announced the guards may not be dead.

On Friday, Russia said that the Ukrainian guards had surrendered, but they never said anything about airstrikes.

An audio recording of the words spoken between the Ukrainian and Russian forces caused the matter of the brave guards to become an international story.

“This is a Russian warship,” an unidentified person is overhead saying. “I propose you lay down your weapons and surrender to avoid bloodshed and unnecessary victims. Otherwise, you will be bombed.”

After a brief silence, a Ukrainian officer is heard saying, “Russian warship, go f–k yourself.”
