Two Women Taken into Custody in Dallas After the Fatal Shooting of a 66-Year-Old Man Attempting to Sell an iPhone 15 on Facebook Marketplace
The U.S. Marshals Task Force apprehended two women in relation to the fatal shooting of 66-year-old Ahmad Alkhalaf.
On November 8, Dallas police responded to reports of gunfire in the 300 block of S. Marsalis Avenue around 3 p.m. Upon arrival, they found Ahmad Alkhalaf in a parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
During the investigation, officers learned that Alkhalaf had arranged to meet someone through Facebook Marketplace to sell an iPhone 15. Surveillance footage showed him interacting with Amaya Medrano,19 shortly before the shooting took place.
Medrano fled the scene but was captured on November 12. She was taken to Dallas County Jail, and charged with capital murder by terror threat. Her bond is set at $1,000,000.
On November 15, Annika Aleman,19, was arrested and charged with capital murder by terror threat. She is being held in Dallas County Jail on a $1,000,000 bond.
