There were three suspects apprehended for killing a Seattle woman who visited Deep Ellum. Her body wasn’t located for several months.
Now, authorities can’t locate two of those individuals accused of murdering Marisela Botello-Valadez, 23, in October 2020.
Nina Marano and her spouse, Lisa Dykes, are both out on bond after being charged with murder. Court documents reveal that they are now fugitives.
Botello-Valadez had gone to Deep Ellum by herself after coming to Dallas to visit a friend.
Blood that matched Botello’s was found in the couple’s residence.
Six months later, her deceased body was found in an isolated area in Dallas County.
Charles Beltran, who lived with the couple, was also arrested and charged with murder in the case. He remains in jail and hasn’t posted bond.
However, Dykes and Marano bonded out in May. On Christmas morning, it was determined that they had taken off their ankle monitors four minutes apart from each other.
They were last known to be at the South Good Latimer intersection in Dallas. All attempted contact with them was unsuccessful.
When located, both Marano and Dykes are likely to remain in jail until the case is resolved.
Beltran remains in jail.
