Back in April, two men were tracked down after being accused of committing a robbery at an apartment complex in Fort Worth.
Now, the two 18 year olds have pleaded guilty to multiple robberies, aimed at postal workers all over the DFW metroplex.
Because of cell phone information, the pair was already on the radar of detectives.
On April 18, the two were pulled over during a traffic stop, and a USPS master key was found in their possession.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office stated, on Tuesday, that Jerrad Coleman and Louis Dixon, pleaded guilty to several robberies against mail carriers in the DFW vicinity.
The two were apprehended and placed into the White Settlement jail and then later transported to Johnson County.
Records show that Coleman and Dixon are connected to eight robberies within four months. The first robbery happened on January 17 and another on January 18 in Fort Worth. They are also said to have committed similar offenses against mail carriers in Dallas, Arlington, and Frisco.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office said that the pair would usually rob the mail carriers at gunpoint and take their “arrow key.” This is a master key that opens up collection boxes.
If they are found guilty, Coleman and Dixon could receive up to 15 years in federal prison.
