Two teachers have been reassigned after a nine-minute rant took place in the Jefferson County School District that resulted in an investigation.

In the recording that was uploaded to Facebook, a white man and a white woman, both teachers, used profanity towards students at Carrithers Middle School. The N-word is used by one of the teachers at least two times.

“If you’re recording me, I don’t care because I am tired of it,” the male teacher says.

“I get cussed out 40 times a day. I’m tired of this s— too. Like, what if you all were us. And you had some bad a– little kids come up to you and say, ‘F— you, b—-. Or, you get called a n—– or a cracker?” he asks the students.

When then middle students seemed caught off guard, he continued. “Don’t turn around and look like that’s something f—— new because it’s not. I get called a n—– every day, multiple times a day-with a hard “R.'”

Further into the video, the other teacher is heard saying that she is sick of kids misbehaving because of “COVID and trauma.”

“I’m all for being nice and having fun, but when you all start treating me like s—, it’s going to be the same way,” she added.

“Someone explain to me what would happen if you acted the way some of your classmates act if they were stopped by police….they’re going to have you down on the ground-no matter the color, so let’s not even use that excuse. I’m getting tired of that, too. Being human is color blind,” she continued, referring to victims of police violence.

The teachers’ lectures apparently came after a Black student had thrown a book. He is said to have been seen leaving the classroom afterwards.

The principal of the school has stated that the incident continues to be reviewed.
