Two State Troopers And A Pedestrian Fatally Struck On Interstate

Two Pennsylvania State Troopers and a man were struck and killed by a woman driving on Interstate 95 early Monday morning.

The incident happened around 12:40am in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 near the Broad Street exit.

Trooper Martin F. Mack,33 and Trooper Branden T. Sisca,29 were responding to a call regarding a man walking along the highway.

As officers were out their vehicle trying to place the man in custody, a woman driving at a high rate of speed struck them.

The woman struck the Troopers, the man and the Troopers vehicle. The impact was so hard that the troopers were thrown into the northbound lanes.

Emergency crews arrived and pronounced the Troopers and pedestrian dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene until other officers arrived.

Investigators are conducting a DUI investigation but as of now, no charges have been filed.

The male victims identity has not been released at this time.

This investigation remains ongoing.
