A second shooting within a week has occurred in the parking lot of Eastern Hills High School in Fort Worth. On Monday, around 7:30 p.m., an aggravated robbery took place. During this incident, a person was shot in the hand.
One suspect, driver Erian Mitchell, 18, was apprehended after a chase that ended in Wise County. Another suspect got out the car and fled. He had not been arrested as of Tuesday morning, authorities said. Several law enforcement departments were searching an area south of Decatur. They have no additional details on the other suspect.
On June 7, Jaylen Patterson, 17, was shot in the neck after an altercation in the same parking lot. He died the next day. No one has been arrested for Patterson’s killing.
A Fort Worth spokesperson stated that investigators do not think the shootings at the school are connected.
