On Thursday, three people were killed as two airplanes crashed into each other above a California Airport.
Close to 3 p.m., a single-engine Cessna 152, carrying one individual and a Cessna 340 with two individuals collided as they tried to land at Watsonville Municipal Airport, the FAA noted.
Both pilots and the passenger in the Cessna 340 died. Their identities aren’t known at this time.
The FAA added that no injuries to anyone on the ground was documented.
However, the Cessna 340 slammed into a hangar, causing damages to a plane inside the building and starting a post-crash fire.
An investigation continues to be conducted by the National Transportation Safety Board and the FAA.
