On Friday, about 1:30 a.m., two men came under gunfire as they were pumping air in their tires at a gas station in Philadelphia.
The incident occurred on the 400 block of West Cheltenham Avenue, close to Oak Lane Rd.
Authorities say that two men and a friend were at the air pump as a white SUV pulled up alongside them.
Someone then rolled down a rear passenger window and shot at the men at least four times.
A 29-year-old man was hit by gunfire in his foot while another man in his late 20s to early 30s was hit in the hand. They were both transported to a medical facility in stable condition. The friend was uninjured.
The SUV was seen leaving the scene headed East.
Authorities say that the victim’s gas tank was hit by gunfire, leading to a fuel leak. Another bullet hit a tire. The entire incident was captured on the gas station’s camera surveillance footage.
A motive for the shooting isn’t known, and no apprehensions have been made in the matter.
