A father and son were arrested Thursday in Georgia for the death of Ahmaud Arbery.
GBI arrested Gregory McMicheal,64 and Travis McMicheal,34 for the death of Ahmaud Arbrey,25 who was shot and killed while out jogging.
They have been booked into Glynn County Jail and charged with murder and aggravated assault.
The father and son told police they believed Arbery was a burglar and so they got into their pickup truck and followed him.
The District Attorney Tom Durdan requested on May 5 for the GBI to investigate the death of Ahmaud Arbrey who was killed on February 23 and the investigation was instituted on May 6.
The video of the incident was released earlier this week and showed Arbery jogging and two men getting into an altercation with Arbery before shooting him multiple times and killing him.
The Glynn County Police Department also made a request to the GBI to investigate all threats against the GCPD and all individuals involved with this case.
