Louisville Metro PD fired two officers Tuesday involved in the raid that left Breonna Breonna Taylor dead inside her home.

Detectives Myles Cosgrove and Joshua Jaynes were both terminated Tuesday.
After thorough investigation it was determined that Cosgrove was responsible for firing the fatal shot that killed Taylor and that he violated procedures for use of force and failing to use a body camera during the March 13 search warrant.
Jaynes was found responsible for securing the “no knock” search warrant for officers to enter her home and violated the department policy for truthfulness and search warrant preparation.
Taylor was killed on March 13 when officers secured a no knock search warrant for a drug case.
Taylor was inside the home with her boyfriend Kenneth Walker who had a license to carry a weapon. He heard a noise in the early morning believed it to be a burglar and contacted police.
Walker opened fire striking one of the officers in the leg and they fired back striking and killing Taylor.
