Two Kids Take Texas Deputies On Chase After Stealing Vehicle From DoorDash Driver

Two minors from Louisiana were arrested by deputies in Chambers County, Texas, after a car chase that involved a vehicle that had been stolen from a woman at McDonald’s in Winnie.

On January 7, 2023, a little before 8:30 p.m., the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office had gotten a call regarding the stolen car.

The victim told deputies that she had gone inside of the McDonald’s to retrieve a DoorDash order when the two suspects entered her vehicle and headed west on Interstate 10 towards Houston.

A deputy had been traveling on the same interstate, saw the car, and attempted to pull it over. When the driver wouldn’t stop, the pursuit began.

The chase continued to the City Of Mont Belvieu until the vehicle suddenly stopped. The two suspects then fled from the vehicle but were eventually caught.

It was later discovered that the driver was 16 years old and the passenger was 12 years old.

Right now, it isn’t known what charges the two juveniles may face.

The stolen vehicle was given back to the owner.
