Two Kids Shot After Mother Wanted Them To Go To Heaven

Esther Callejas, a 24 year-old from Arizona, shot her two kids several times. One of them passed away.

Her two year-old daughter was killed when she was struck. Her six year-old son was shot at three times as he sprinted off.

Callejas attempted to kill herself with pills after all her bullets were gone. Afterwards, she phoned her husband and sister-in-law to inform them about what she did.

As of Thursday, the young boy was still listed in critical condition at a hospital.

Callejas is facing a murder charge and attempted murder. She had apparently purchased the weapon a few years back without her husband’s knowledge. She had already been taking medication for her depression.

Before the shooting, the mother did a test shot, accidentally shooting herself in the hand.

When speaking with investigators, Callejas admitted to the act and stated “she wanted them to go to Heaven.”
