The 2 trillion stimulus relief package was passed Friday and should be bringing some relief to families during this economic crisis caused by the COVID-19.
The plan includes a one-time direct payment to Americans, which should arrive within three weeks.
Individuals will receive up to $1,200, married couples will get up to $2,400 and $500 will be added for every child under 17.
Income will be based on one’s 2019 or 2018 tax returns.
People who owe back child support will not be eligible for the stimulus relief check.
The cash transfers are available to U.S. residents with a valid Social Security number who reported making less than $99,000 or couples earning up to $198,000 on a recent tax return.
