As Vice President Kamala Harris was running for reelection for California Attorney General, ex-President Donald Trump gave thousands of dollars to her campaign, TheGuardian has reported.

A Democratic congressman from Florida, Jared Moskowitz, expressed that the act was a “wise investment.” He uploaded an image, on X, that revealed the check that was given by Trump, containing his unique signature.

This $5,000 check, written in September 2011, was one of multiple checks that was provided by the Trump family when Harris was the California Attorney General.

In February 2013, Trump donated $1,000 to Harris’s reelection efforts, as well.

Not only that, but in 2014, Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, donated another $2,000.

A spokesperson for Trump expressed that the funds were only donated to a “corrupt politician” like Harris for strategic purposes.

It was later questioned whether the money was donated to have an impact on California’s review of Trump University, per the Wall Street Journal.

Now, many on social media are finding it humorous, saying that Harris is using Trump’s money in her bid for the president of the United States.

But, another report, from the Saramento Bee, shows that the funds were given to a non-profit organization that deals with civil rights in Central America.
