TikTok Is Opening Restaurants

2.1kviews

TikTok, the video-sharing platform, is planning to open several ghost kitchens across the nation under the name TikTok Kitchens. This comes as viral recipe videos have inspired social media users to try dishes in their own homes.

The online restaurant chain will offer TikTok’s favorite foods and will be prepared by professional cooks.

Items that will be included on the menu are Baked Feta Pasta, Corn Ribs, and Pasta Chips. These recipes all gained about 1 million “likes” on the platform.

The company has said that this is just the beginning, and the menu will change seasonally. Additionally, the money that is earned from the delivery-only restaurant will go to supporting the creators of their #FoodTok content.

TikTok is planning to open 300 ghost restaurants by March and 1,000 locations before 2022 comes to an end. They have teamed up with Virtual Dining Concepts to help set up their virtual restaurant, and Grubhub will be used to deliver the orders.

People can sign up for a newsletter in order to receive restaurant information sent to their inbox.
