Tiff Treats, the Texas-Based cookie delivery company has located their first ever customer more than 20 years after they first opened their doors.
Tiffany Taylor and Leon Chen are the founders of Tiff Treats, and they started their service 22 years ago to be exact, while they were both sophomores in college and The University of Texas – Austin.
To honor their stores twenty-second anniversary, Taylor, and Chen, shared the story of their very first customer and how much her purchased impacted their inspiration to continue to pursue their business.
The owners said they had no idea where Amy was after all these years and urged their fans and customer to assist in locating her.
What began as one single social media post, turned into an international search, the founder stated.
After thousands of comments, messages, and international news coverage, Amy had been found, according to Tiff’s Treats.
Amy now lives overseas and one of her sister’s best friend reached out to the founders and helped them get in contact with one another.
Taylor and Chen stated they talked to Amy by phone, following the phone conversation, she sent them a previous photo of herself from when she was residing in Austin so they could confirm that it was really her.
The founders stated they talked to Amy and offered her a year of free cookies, but since she currently lives overseas, she could choose to donate the cookies to a nonprofit organization.
Thanks to the generosity of Amy, she chose Foster Angels of Central Texas to receive free cookies for a year from the founders at Tiff’s Treats.
“My big takeaway from this experience is to always be kind. You never know who you are going to influence positively or negatively with your attitude in the world,” Amy said after reconnecting with the founders of Tiff Treats. “I am immensely proud of entrepreneurs, and I’m feeling super grateful that my initial purchase made a positive impression on you both.”
