Three Children Found Abandoned Inside Houston Apartment With Deceased Brother

Houston police are investigating after they found three children abandoned inside an apartment with their deceased brother.
According to reports officers received a call around 3:15pm Sunday afternoon regarding a deceased 9 year old.
Officers responded to the call on the 3500 block of Green Crest.
Upon arrival they found three malnourished children ages 15, 10 and 7. They also found the skeletal remains of their 9 year old brother.
The 15 year old told authorities that him and his siblings had been left alone in the apartment for months and that his brother had been deceased for at least a year.
The children were all taken to an area hospital to be treated.
A medical examiner will determine the 9 year olds actual cause of death.
Police located the mother and boyfriend and they are be questioned by homicide detectives.
