Camera footage shows thieves boldly stealing bulletproof vests in New York City meant for Ukraine. The thieves, who were wearing hoodies, can be seen putting boxes into vans and then taking off.

On Tuesday, two vans, one black and one white, arrived at the building where the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America and the Ukrainian National Women’s League of America are housed.

Close to 10 p.m., the men are seen with mask on getting out of a white van. They traveled back and forth transporting boxes to place in the van. One box was so extremely heavy that two people had to carry it.

People are seen walking by oblivious to what was going on. About an hour later, the second van arrives to carry more boxes away.

The nonprofit organization had been gathering donations to help the war effort in Ukraine. The vests had been placed in a building hallway.

On Wednesday morning, about 400 vests were discovered stolen, NYPD reported.
