“Maury” will be officially canceled after this season.

For 30 years, the “Maury” show has been a constant occurrence on television screens. It is known for the wild guests and unorthodox format.

The show, hosted by Maury Povitch, was first featured in 1991, produced by Paramount Domestic Television. Later, it was purchased by NBCUniversal. Povitch, 83, has been wanting to leave the show for a while, and the decision was agreed upon between both.

“Maury and I decided two years ago that this season would be the farewell season for the show. While his retirement is bittersweet, we are so happy for him to be able to spend more time on the golf course. Maury is a television icon, and we couldn’t be more proud…,” stated Tracie Wilson, EVP of NBCUniversal Syndication Studios.

“I’m so proud of my relationship with NBCUniversal and all those who worked on the “Maury” show. But, as I occasionally tell my guests on “Maury,” ‘Enough, already!'” Povitch stated in an interview.

This show is just one of many that has been canceled. This includes “The Nick Cannon Show” and the termination of the “Wendy Williams Show” which will be turned into a new show with Sherri Shepherd.

New episodes of “Maury” will be featured until September 2022. After that, reruns of “Maury” will be shown in syndication.
