Two men from Texas were apprehended for reportedly approaching children and asking if they wanted to be kidnapped.
The incident occurred around 3:20 p.m. on Wednesday, January 29, when a 7-year-old and a 9-year-old were walking home from Negley Elementary School. The suspects followed the children and interacted with them. The kids promptly notified their parents, who subsequently contacted the Kyle Police Department.
Law enforcement later arrested Kaine Villarreal, 19, and Lane Burch, 18, both from Kyle, on charges of making a terroristic threat.
Officials from the Hays Consolidated Independent School District have been informed about the incident.
