A Texas mother and stepfather were arrested earlier this week after they allegedly tattooed their two young children.

According to an arrest affidavit obtained by KTRE, 27 year old Megan Farr and 23 year old Gunner Farr were arrested on April 24 by Zavalla police. Megan is charged with two counts of injury to a child and unlawful restraint while Gunner is charged with one count of unlawful restraint. Both have a bond of $35,000.

In the affidavit it states that following claims by Child Protective Services and an investigation performed by Angelina County Sheriff’s Office, determined Megan and Gunner forcibly restrained and tattooed their children, ages 9 and 5.

One of the children had a tattoo on their foot and the other had one on their shoulder. Authorities believe the children’s mouths were taped shut and their faces were covered with a rag while being tattooed.

When Megan and Gunner learned CPS had been notified they allegedly tried to remove the tattoos by scraping, scrubbing and cutting the tattooed area.

The children were removed from the home and placed in CPS custody.
